Ty Burrows

Ty Burrows is the founder of Lumitiv. Over 25+ years in IT and enterprise networking, he started at Nortel Networks building cell network infrastructure and went on to manage the group that delivered cellular networks for Rogers, Bell, Telus, Verizon, Sprint, and Nextel. From there he rebuilt server infrastructure under contract at Calgary International Airport, ran the network operations center at Guest-Tek serving clients including Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt, and Sofitel, and traveled across Canada and the U.S. as a quality control manager auditing high-end hotel installs — with a reputation for irritating salespeople by not signing off on work until it actually met spec. He started Lumitiv after years of watching traditional IT shops keep things broken to bill hours and push products that fit vendor margins better than client needs. The company also builds automation that takes repetitive work off teams — practical workflows, no AI buzzwords.
